Antique C19th Victorian Carved Coral Skull Memento Mori Gold Studs Set

Three antique 19th century early Victorian carved coral memento mori skull studs. All three very beautifully and skilfully carved and in very good antique condition. Unmarked gold stud backs, as is common with this type of jewellery gold not tested. Skulls measure 13.5mm in height, 10mm across the cheekbones and 13.5mm from back of the skull to the front of the jaw. Studs measure 9.5mm in diameter.

Antique stud box not original to the studs, (does not close with the skulls inside), but great for display and very happy to include. Three rare and remarkably tactile little skulls which feel imbued with the craft of their maker.
