As such, the more elegant, lifelike and endearing an engraving is, it tends to become more valuable and desirable. The border and mount of the cameo are made from solid 15ct antique gold and present a lovely slightly darker tone gold in line with Georgian period gold items. The reverse side of the brooch features a c-clasp pin which appears to have some old solder reinforcements. Understated in size yet distinctly elegant; we believe such brooches are not only collectable antiques but an excellent accoutrement to your wardrobe. When paired with shirts, jumpers or coats this brooch would make for a wonderful conversation starter and an opportunity to share your passion of antiques.
The brooch is unmarked as is common with pieces of the period however we have tested it for 15ct+ high-carat gold. All of our jewellery come with a complimentary hard shell gift box with a velvet interior.
2.1 x 1.8cm. 2.86g /0.092 oz t.
Condition: Good overall antique condition with no major issues/damage. There appears to be some old solder reinforcement to the rear of the gold mount where the pin attached. This does not, however, affect the usage and cannot be seen from the front. We aim to overemphasize and state these issues to avoid disappointment and thus please rest assured they are not significant nor affect the usage of the items. Please refer to the photos for further details. All images with other items are for display purposes only, this listing is for this single cameo only. Colours of the product may slightly differ from the photos due to different computer screens & lighting conditions.
