Made up of large olive shaped carved beads, gently graduating in size, in wonderful amber colours. The necklace is a lovely elegant long length. It fastens with a Victorian 18ct gold clasp, denoting high quality. The beads are hand-knotted, and the string still seems good and strong. You just can't beat a hand-knotted necklace for strength and durability and this has certainly stood the test of time.
The necklace has some natural and age related imperfections, but nothing which detracts from its immense charm - it is in lovely condition for well over 100 years old. You can literally Feel the Quality when you hold it in your hands.
