Antique Victorian Lapis Scarab Mourning Brooch Gold Pearl Onyx 1849 Carved

Absolutely gorgeous and unique mourning brooch featuring a carved lapis scarab surrounded by seed pearls and onyx stones. The gold setting on the front and tests between 10-14k. The back piece is inscribed N.

April 13, 1849, AE 47 years. The back pin is in good working order and it and the backing appear to be silver. Measures 21mm wide and 18.5 tall.
