ANTIQUE VICTORIAN LARGE CARVED SHELL CAMEO BROOCH - Hebe feeding Zeus! Cameo is mounted in a scroll decorated Pinchbeck gold frame. The frame has a swivel mechanism, so the back may have been used to keep a memorial piece, photograph, piece of hair etc. High quality, well detailed piece. Probably a Grand Tour piece brought back from Italy. Measures 6.5cm long and 7.5cm across. The glass to the back compartment is missing, and there is no pin.
