Antique Victorian Large Jet Brooch With Painting Of Young Boy Memorial Mourning

This fabulous large brooch, made from Whitby jet, is a beautiful example of Victorian mourning wear. On the surface of the brooch is a porcelain plaque featuring a miniature portrait of a young boy. The brooch fastens with a brass pin and "C" clasp in good working order. There is a very tiny chip to the back of the jet. It's hardly noticeable and does not detract from the beauty of this brooch.
