Edges are 5 inches wide. The thickness is 4 inches. Very ornate gesso and carved wood frame suitable for a museum painting, your family portrait or any art you please to display.

This will make an elegant statement in any home, chateau, castle or pied-à-terre. This is possibly previously restored although the patina is superb. There are some tiny cracks in the gesso on the back in the corners that are not visible and do not affect use.
