RARE Victorian Beautiful Young African-American Girl Print? In Old Oval Carved Wood Gold Frame with Glass 18" x 16"....... This frame and photo or print is in such good condition, I suspected it was a reproduction initially. But I can't find any indication that it ISN'T as old as the style and wood shows. The frame is probably carved with Gesso ornamentation of fruit/berries/fern leaves.

I can't tell if it is original Gilt paint, or if this has been added over time. The frame is definitely very old, see the photos of the back.

The backing is partially missing. The young girl is gorgeous. The photo or print is in very good condition. A few spots seen through the glass, but I can't tell if it is from the 1800s or a newer print/photo because it looks so good. The portion that is exposed in the back is vintage, fits in with the time period.

I CANNOT GUARANTEE THAT THIS IS AN AUTHENTIC PHOTO OR POSSIBLY A REPRINT FROM AN OLD PHOTO. ALTHOUGH FRAME APPEARS TO BE AN AUTHENTIC FRAME. But due to the very good condition of the gilt frame, and the beautiful photo or print, this is a great collectible. Great condition, especially for the age.

Please read "CONDITION" below for any additional details. CONDITION: I don't have much info on this item-the frame is very old, very elaborate, and has been painted a dull Gold. Well done-but unknown what the original wood looked like. Or was it always painted or Gilt?? Appears to be undamaged under the paint, Definitely old judging from the back. There are only partial remains of the backing. Looks SO good shape-wise, I suspected it was a newer reproduction, but from what I can see from the open back, it MAY be as old as the frame, or original.

I have no idea how to confirm this, the visible portion in back looks correct, but the image portion is in such good condition, it seems to be younger.
