Victorian 14K Gold Ultra High Relief Carved Lava Cameo Brooch Pin Pendant

Offered here is a large Victorian 14K yellow gold ultra high relief carved lava cameo brooch pin pendant. Cameo depicts a maiden with long curly locks. The entire brooch is 2"long , 1-5/8" wide with 3/4 in depth front to back. Jesus Crown of Thorns cameo weighs 37.2 grams and gold setting tested 14K.

The ultra high relief & detailed cameo measures about 43 x 36mm. This large & lovely carved lava cameo has a locking c clasp set so can be worn as either brooch or pendant. Locking c clasp is an addition as at back notice the remnants of the antique clasp dating this cameo to about 1900. We offer this huge carved lava cameo here in excellent vintage condition.
