Victorian Carved Angel Skin Coral 14KT Gold Brooch

This is an exquisite hand-carved Victorian Coral Portrait Brooch of a lovely lady. She was expertly carved from a large single piece of coral in a neoclassical style. It is 9mm high at the highest point.

The color is a blend of pink and angel skin coral. The artist did a great job of using the darker pink and the lighter angel skin colors to his advantage. It has a 14KT yellow gold frame and. The frame fits tightly around the coral.

It was most likely carved in Italy. Pin back that works perfectly.

Marked 14K on the the back. AA Italian Angel Skin Coral. Comes in a beautiful gift box. Size: ¾ x 1 ½ inches - 9mm deep Weighs: 8.8 grams.
