Victorian style 18 carat gold opal 5 stone ring, carved setting, size L/M. Beautiful carved setting with 5 claw set oval opals and 8 tiny diamonds.
Lovely play of colour through the opals, especially in sunlight. These stones show beautiful flashes of fiery pink and peach as well as green and blue. Fully hallmarked, although the marks are quite faint, they appear to show that the ring was assayed in London 1969 (date letter O). The shank and settings are in good condition and all stones are securely in place. Approximately 8mm at widest point, head of ring measures approximately 22m across.
